Job Description
Join Pattison Food Group Ltd. as a full-time Health and Safety Coordinator and support health and safety compliance across offices, retail stores and banners. Report to the Senior Manager, Health & Safety, and liaise with regulatory bodies to support Health & Safety programs. Responsibilities include facilitating new hire health and safety training, reviewing store plans, and conducting annual pre-audits. Required skills include a post-secondary education in health and safety management or equivalent work experience, and Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) Certification.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in health and safety management or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience in a Health and Safety related role
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) Certification
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the Yukon, including First Aid and Global Harmonized System (GHS)
- An understanding of the BC COR Program and the Alberta Safety Council (ASC)/Partnerships Audit
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
