Math Instructor

The College of Education Equity is seeking a Math Instructor to deliver math content for diverse high school students from across Pennsylvania for the Upward Bound program.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with relevant teaching experience or undergraduate student majoring in Education or related field
• Ability to provide own transportation to Altoona campus for instructional days
• Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with high school youth from diverse backgrounds
• Capacity to model maturity, sound judgment, common sense, and professionalism
• Ability to enforce program and university policies consistently and objectively

Benefits

• $35.00 per hour for all work
• Room and board may be provided during all residential weeks with additional programmatic responsibilities
• Program-related admission fees (tickets for museums, science centers, and other activities) are provided, if applicable
