Job Description
We are seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant to join our team at Peterson Health in Kerrville, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience with phlebotomy and POC instrumentation, and will be able to work as needed by the department.
Requirements
- Responsible for blood specimen collection by venipuncture and/or micro techniques for laboratory test procedures as requested.
- Responsible for the receiving, accessioning, and distribution of laboratory specimens.
- Responsible for the operation of POC instrumentation such as glucometers, CoaguCheck, etc.
- Must be in compliance with OSHA Blood-Born Pathogen Standards, accreditation and regulatory standards and HIPAA.
