7.2. Mechanical Engineer II- Design

Phoenix Tailings is a rapidly-growing clean mining and metals production startup dedicated to sustainable and economic critical metals production. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer II to support the design, build, and scale-up of industrial systems used in clean metals manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 2–6 years of experience in mechanical design for industrial, manufacturing, or process equipment
• Strong proficiency with 3D CAD tools
• Experience designing or supporting large industrial systems or equipment
• Exposure to high-temperature systems, thermal processes, or industrial materials preferred
• Hands-on mindset with experience supporting equipment build, installation, or commissioning
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
