Janitor

Partners In Health (PIH) is seeking a Janitor for their operational department in Kono District, Sierra Leone, to support the delivery of comprehensive health services. This is a 12-month contract with possible extension, focusing on maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation of building spaces. The role requires strong teamwork skills and a commitment to social justice, healthcare, and preventing sexual exploitation.

Requirements

• Clean building floors
• Emptying trash containers
• Service and clean rooms
• Engaging in tasks that will minimize the growing of weeds/get rid of weeds
• Chorine mixing
• Patient flow management/transportation
• Ensure and maintain the cleaning materials /equipment database
• Education and Work Experience Requirements (Strong initiative and self-motivated, flexible, willing to learn, disciplined, energy and stamina, analytical skills for risk assessment, interest in social justice, and proficiency in krio are required)
• Demonstrate ability to interact professionally with multicultural staff and patients
• Professional proficiency in krio is required
• Most not hold dual employment
• Ability to read, write and understand workplace communication processes
