Substation Technician A

Substation Technician A is a non-exempt position responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of substation equipment and systems. The role requires 6-8 years of experience with substation equipment and systems, and the ability to work safely in confined spaces and at heights up to 125 feet. The position also involves frequent travel and working overtime or long hours during emergency conditions.

Requirements

• Commercial Drivers' License
• Personal hand tools and safety toed work boots
• Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs
• Ability to work in confined spaces/areas
• Ability to interpret substation structural drawings
• Ability to accurately appraise technical situations and recommend resolutions
• Ability to lead/coach subordinates on the crew
