Job Description
Pivotal, a leader in electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Motor Controls Engineer to contribute to the development of their eVTOL aircraft. While there may not be an immediate opening, they are proactively seeking talented individuals for future opportunities. This role will be pivotal in developing motor control algorithms and software architectures, requiring a strong background in automotive, industrial robotics, or aviation. Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Masters or PhD in a related engineering discipline (Aerospace, Mechanical, etc)
- Proven experience in designing and developing productized motor controls
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, C/C++
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
- Hands-on experience through employment, student teams, co-op, and/or personal projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative start-up environment
