Mechanical Technician I

Plains All American is seeking a highly-motivated Junior Mechanical Technician to perform scheduled and unscheduled mechanical maintenance on pumps, valves, engines, tank mixers, etc. The role is field-based with frequent work in open environments and requires safety accommodations. The successful candidate will maintain maintenance records, evaluate wear and repair needs, and perform various maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Related trades apprenticeship program
• Relevant work experience preferred
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Ability to perform basic math
• Ability to work in a team-based work environment
• Troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills
• Good computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office suite
• Familiarity with federal, provincial, and industry regulations
• O.Q. qualified to perform Level I tasks
• Valid drivers’ license with a clean abstract
• Cleared criminal history and satisfactory reference checks
• Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy
