Pipeline Technician (Contract)

Plains is looking for a Contract Pipeline Technician to work on their pipeline system in the Slave Lake area. The successful candidate will provide support to operations, maintenance, and projects, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies/procedures. The term of this contract role is 6 months.

Requirements

• Flexible and willing to work within pipeline/truck terminal operations and provide project support
• Basic understanding of pipelines, pump stations, pigging and storage facilities
• Able to perform minor maintenance duties with pumps and piping, demonstrating mechanical aptitude
• Able to work independently or as a team member with minimal supervision
• Able to conduct daily duties that consist of pipeline pigging, sampling, housekeeping, LOTO's and drain downs
• Self-motivated and energetic with effective written/verbal communication skills
• Able and comfortable to drive to and from different site locations on and off highway
• Willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions
• Willingness to work a 8 days on/6 days off shift
