Job Description
The Director of Memory Care & Assisted Living provides overall leadership and operational management for the Assisted Living (AL) and Memory Care (MC) neighborhoods within a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). This individual ensures that residents receive exceptional, person-centered services that promote dignity, wellness, and engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, social services, gerontology, psychology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, or long-term care
- Dementia care certification required or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Social service background desirable
- Experience in memory care and assisted living recommended
- Understanding of Point Click Care or similar systems
- Strong knowledge of IDPH regulations for AL and MC
- Demonstrated strength in hospitality and customer service
- Foundational clinical knowledge preferred to support collaboration with nursing and care teams
- Skilled in dementia related care and programming
- Proven ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and manage change
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
