Job Description
This Senior Project Manager role involves overseeing the planning and execution of new school building and modernization projects for the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). The role focuses on ensuring project success, managing scope, schedule, and budget, and providing leadership to team members. The project manager will work closely with AFDM, DM, and design professionals to achieve optimal project performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project management in the construction industry.
- Five years of experience in educational facility construction or public works projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Extensive experience in project management within the education sector.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proven track record of managing complex construction projects.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Experience with both project delivery and procurement methods for public projects.
- Experience with community engagement processes and strong communication skills, both oral and written.
