Turbopump Design Engineer (m/f/d)

Turbopump Design Engineer position at POLARIS Raumflugzeuge GmbH, designing and developing turbopumps for LOX/RP1 rocket engines, working on cross-functional teams, and collaborating with analysis, manufacturing, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Degree in Space Engineering, Aerospace Engineering (M.Sc.) or similar
• Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience
• Extensive knowledge in turbomachinery, including pumps, turbines and their integration
• Profound understanding of physics, fluid dynamics, manufacturing processes, rocket engine/propulsion systems
• Deep understanding of cryogenic fluids (e.g., LOX) and materials suitable for high-pressure, high-temperature environments.
• Proficiency with Creo and ANSYS Fluent for design and verification
• Proactive thinking, high level of motivation, flexibility, and team-working skills
• Proficiency in both German and English
