Job Description
The Family Support Specialist I - Healthy Families role is responsible for optimizing the home environment for the physical and mental well-being of children who are at risk of being abused/neglected, and their families. The role involves strengthening the parent-child relationship through improving parenting skills, establishing a trusting relationship with at-risk families, and providing assistance with community services and resources.
Requirements
- High school diploma or acceptable equivalency diploma
- 1 year of experience working with infants or young children
- 1 year of experience working with children and families
- 1 year of experience working with culturally diverse populations
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening (FBI Check)
