Cylinder Cell Assembly Technician: 1st Shift

The Cylinder Cell Assembly Technician assembles composite cylinder cell components to precise specifications, operates and maintains specialized assembly equipment, performs quality inspections, and ensures safety and environmental procedures are met.

Requirements

• Set up and operate equipment used for assembling composite cylinder cells
• Follow detailed shop routers, job instruction breakdowns (JIBs), and work instructions to complete assemblies to exact tolerances
• Handle and prepare raw materials (grease and lubricant) according to manufacturing and safety standards
• Inspect parts and subassemblies for defects, proper alignment, and dimensional accuracy using precision measuring tools
• Maintain accurate production and quality records; complete all required documentation per ISO 9001 and internal quality management procedures
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including PPE requirements, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and safe handling of chemicals and adhesives
• Perform routine equipment maintenance to ensure reliability
• Collaborate with engineering and quality personnel to resolve production issues and implement process improvements
• Monitor and achieve established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as production output, quality standards, efficiency, and safety compliance, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with company goals
• Keep work area clean and organized to prevent safety hazards
• Perform additional duties as assigned
