Job Description
The Pulp Mill Shift Supervisor role provides shift direction and supervision for backend employees and operations. The role involves ensuring safe behavior and work practices, investigating safety incidents, and managing mill operations to meet quality and production targets. The supervisor will also be responsible for training and development, performance management, and implementing management direction with crews.
Requirements
- Demonstrated supervisory skills to at least the relief foreman's level
- Knowledge of labor agreements and ability to administer them consistently with the contract
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and implement management direction with crews
