Job Description
Postman is seeking a Staff Engineer, Desktop Platform to lead the technical direction of their Electron-based desktop application. This IC-first role involves architecture, performance, and security for years, ensuring a consistent and secure user experience across platforms. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can guide the evolution of Postman's desktop integration while mentoring engineers and collaborating with other teams.
Requirements
- Proven track record as a Staff, Principal, or Lead engineer building cross-platform desktop applications.
- Deep expertise with Electron, Node.js, and modern web technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, React).
- Strong understanding of cross-platform packaging, auto-update systems, and OS-level integration.
- Experience improving performance and security in large-scale desktop applications.
- Proficiency in C++ for native modules or integrations.
