The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the inventory management process, defining departmental strategies for appropriate inventory levels, eliminating obsolete and off-spec material, and reducing aging material. The position manages and controls the organization's resource distribution and allocation directed by the Operations Manager for all projects company-wide.
Requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of logistics principles, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills to effectively oversee logistics operations, coordinate with internal teams and external partners, and drive performance.
- Excellent organizational abilities to plan and execute logistics activities, optimize routes, and ensure timely delivery of goods while minimizing costs.
- Proficiency in logistics software and systems to track shipments, manage inventory levels, analyze data, and optimize logistics processes.
- Problem-solving skills to identify logistical challenges, implement solutions, and continuously improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
