The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the inventory management process, defining departmental strategies for appropriate inventory levels, eliminating obsolete and off-spec material, and reduce aging material.
Requirements
- Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organization
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all inventory transactions and physical movement of materials from receipt to stocking distribution
- Develop and execute tools and methodologies to enable effective implementation of logistic plans
- Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations
- Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities
- Ensure the integrity of inventory accuracy and manage stock movements with the help of direct reports
- Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory and system records are in agreement
- Interpret trends and analyze and review data
- Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies
