The Senior Logistics Manager oversees the organization's inbound and outbound logistics operations, managing all aspects to ensure consistent high-level service quality, customer satisfaction, profitability, cost-efficient operations, and compliance with Company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
- Plan, manage, and evaluate logistics operations, liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies, and customers.
- Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies, and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance.
- Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.
- Manage and negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers.
- Recommend optimal transport modes, routes, or frequency.
- Direct and negotiate logistics costs meant for 3rd party logistics providers, assisting yearly budget goals.
- Establish standard operating methods to manage logistics operations efficiently.
- Direct continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.
- Ensure compliance of Logistics Team with all applicable Company directives, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with all connected with the logistics process.
- Ensure customers receive their products/materials in a timely manner and good condition.
- Resolve problems concerning logistics systems, imports, or exports or customer issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
- Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value, and continuous improvements.
- Ensure that all functions under supervision operate in accordance with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.
- Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovation through formal and informal study, networking, and participation in professional organization.
- Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.
