Job Description
Power Integrations is looking for a highly motivated Staff Field Application Engineer who will work closely with sales, engineers, and manufacturers to provide optimized solutions to customers.
Requirements
- BSEE/MSEE or Foreign equivalent
- BSEE with 7 years of experience or MSEE with 4 years' experience
- Hands-on experience with power supply design or power electronics and design of transformers and inductors for switching power supplies
- Familiar with power supply topologies such as Buck, Boost, Buck-Boost, Flyback Converters, etc.
- Ability to perform complex calculations including worst case analysis for circuits designed using company's products
- Experience using tools such as MATLAB, Excel, C++, Simulation software (SIMPLIS, LTspice, etc.)
- Strong hands-on ability and experience with lab equipment required for testing high frequency switching power supplies
- Excellent written and oral communications with experience in specification creation, technical report writing and preparation of test plans / instructions
- Ability to travel to key customers - 10%
