Leasing Agent - Affordable Housing

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Leasing Agent to join our team at a PB Section 8 property. The ideal candidate will have experience in affordable housing and a strong understanding of HUD and LIHTC regulations.

Requirements

• Process applications, verify income, and complete required Section 8 and LIHTC paperwork
• Maintain an excellent customer service relationship with prospective residents, current residents, vendors, and members of the community
• Lease apartments and sell the products and services of the property to prospective residents
• Respond to internet leads, answer prospect calls, and conduct property tours
• Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to increase property traffic
• Maintain thorough product knowledge of the property and that of major competition
• Accurately prepare and have a thorough knowledge of all lease-related paperwork
• Maintain prospect traffic and leasing data
• Assist with other computer data entry as necessary
• Inspect units for move-ins to ensure apartments are ready
• Assist with planning and hosting of resident functions
• Responsible for auditing all lease files for bonus submission
• Review guest cards to ensure entry into OneSite and follow-up
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal housing requirements as it relates to leasing and management of the property
