Job Description
Electrical Engineer designs and supports electrical and automation solutions to enhance rig safety, reliability, and performance.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent
- 2â5 years of relevant experience; field experience strongly preferred
- Professional registration as P.Eng or EIT in good standing with APEGA required
- Strong understanding of modern drilling rigs, applicable standards, and the practical application of automation and electrical technologies
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD Electrical, PLCs, distributed control systems, industrial communications, and IP networking
- Experience with ABB drives, Amphion, AC rigs, and programming languages (JavaScript, Python) is an asset
