Quarterly Lecturer AY 26-27 - Department of Sociology(Pool)

The Department of Sociology at Santa Clara University seeks applicants for Quarterly Lecturer positions to teach courses in Community and Society, Introduction to Sociology, and International and Global Sociology. The successful candidate will teach no more than 2 courses in any quarter and no more than four courses over the fall, winter and spring quarters. All classes will be presented in-person, with the possibility of teaching part of the course online if health conditions deteriorate.

Requirements

• Terminal degree (Ph.D./MFA) in Sociology or a closely-related field
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching Sociology courses at the college level
• Excellent communication skills
• Commitment to undergraduate teaching and to working with students to accomplish their learning
