Electrical Estimator

PRIME is seeking an Electrical Estimator to independently analyze blueprints and proposals to prepare cost estimates for projects. The role involves reading and understanding various plans, developing take-offs, utilizing technology like BlueBeam and Accubid, and providing guidance to less experienced staff. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university and three to five years related experience and/or training
• Ability to train and educate others on estimating procedures and software
• Knowledge of structural, architectural and mechanical documents and their impact on electrical scope.
• Knowledge of NEC, local codes and construction methods.
• Knowledge of Electrical Materials and their applications.
• Knowledge of and experience with Accubid and LiveCount.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, multi-tasking and communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with preparing, completing, explaining, and reviewing estimates with Chief Estimator, Internal, and External Customers.
• Ability to grasp and follow existing estimating process and procedures.
• Strong work ethic.
