US TAX Manager

Manage and review U.S. federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, trusts, and estates, oversee preparation and review of supporting workpapers, and lead U.S. tax compliance engagements. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, manage engagement timelines, and train, mentor, and supervise associates.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting and/or equivalent years of professional experience
• Master’s degree in Accounting and/or U.S. CPA or EA designation considered an asset
• 5+ years of progressive experience in U.S. tax within a public accounting firm, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Strong experience reviewing and preparing U.S. individual tax returns, corporate returns, and partnership returns
• Demonstrated experience managing U.S. international tax reporting
• Experience with U.S. estate and gift tax filings considered an asset
• Knowledge of Canadian tax legislation considered an asset
• Proficiency with professional U.S. tax preparation software
• Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills
