Primero Americas is seeking a Studies Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams in project development for clients in the mining and mineral processing sectors. The role involves managing studies, providing technical and commercial knowledge, and supervising teams to meet deadlines and budgets. The position requires a degree in process engineering or equivalent and over 10 years of experience in EPC, EPCM, or design-construction specialized companies.

Requirements

• Degree in process engineering, mining, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent
• Engineering degree (e.g. OIQ, PEO, EGBC) or PE license in the United States, or eligibility to obtain a permit in the applicable jurisdiction
• Relevant training or experience in project and contract management
• More than 10 years of experience within EPC, EPCM, or design-construction specialized companies, in a multidisciplinary environment on major projects, with a focus on the mining and mineral processing sectors
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing PEA, PFS, and FS studies
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in interacting with clients, including clarifying needs and scope of work
• Understanding of mining disclosure regulations (e.g. NI 43-101, JORC, SEC S-K 1300, or equivalent)
• Mentorship and team management skills
• Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or ideally Primavera P6
• Good understanding of contractual, procurement, and commercial aspects
• Ability to write and structure technical reports
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills to solve complex problems
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and drawings
• Master of Windows, Microsoft Office suite (including Outlook), and planning tools (Primavera an asset, MS Project minimum)
• Experience in supervising construction sites and managing projects during the construction and startup phases
