Material Handler

Role Overview

The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility, including raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods, while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting production operations.

What You Will Do

Operate various types of material handling equipment, perform daily safety inspections, load and unload trucks, store and retrieve pallets, stage materials, move and manage WIP pallets, maintain organized storage areas, perform inventory cycle counts, and complete required safety documentation.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, valid forklift certification, basic computer literacy, and mathematical skills for inventory counting. They will also be able to work in a fast-paced environment, lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and stand/walk for extended periods.

Requirements

• Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain forklift certification)
• Forklift experience required
• Experience in manufacturing or warehousing environment a plus
• Basic computer literacy
• Mathematical skills for inventory counting
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems
• Understanding of safety protocols
• Ability to read and follow written instructions
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Team-oriented mindset
• Time management abilities
