The Manager of the Civil/Structural/Architectural (CSA) Department is responsible for overseeing the engineering & design teams, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
Requirements
- Oversee a team of civil/structural engineers and designers
- Responsible for profitable growth of the department
- Recruitment, development, training, and retention of staff
- Ensure department activities adhere to company guidelines and procedures
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture within the department
- Continually seek ways to improve departmental processes and efficiencies
- Define, assign, and monitor department task assignments
- Monitor and maintain scope, schedule, and budget for CSA department
- Develop bids, proposals, scopes of work, estimates, schedules, material lists, specifications, calculations, design concepts, design drawings, correspondence, scope changes submittals, and other project documentation per customer and company guidelines
- Ensure all department deliverables comply with codes, standards, and project milestones
- Plan and lead department meetings to communicate priorities, performance updates, and other essential information
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors
