Product Engineer, User Journey

Project Healthy Minds is a mental health nonprofit that runs like a tech startup. We are pioneering a first-of-its-kind model: applying technology to address one of the biggest social issues of our time: the growing mental health crisis. We believe in a simple but profound idea: that it should be as easy to find mental health services as it is to book a flight or a restaurant reservation. That's why we're building the world’s first digital marketplace for finding mental health services that are right for you.

Requirements

• Production experience with TypeScript and Next.js
• Familiarity with NestJS or similar Node.js backend frameworks
• Fullstack capability with a frontend focus—you're comfortable across the stack but you care about what users see, experience, and feel
• Experience with analytics tooling (Segment, Posthog, GTM)
• Demonstrated adoption of AI-assisted development (Claude Code,, Cursor, etc.)
• A product mindset: you ask "why are we building this?" before diving in
• Desire to grow into a more strategic role with the right mentorship
• A belief in our mission: connecting millions of Americans to mental health services that actually work for them
