The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting incoming, in-process, and finished materials to ensure products meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and internal quality standards.
Requirements
- Inspection of seal jaws, knives, rotary modules, and custom machined components
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on manufactured parts and assemblies
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Use precision measuring equipment including: Calipers, Micrometers, Height gauges, Bore gauges, Thread gauges, Optical comparators, Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Surface Roughness Tester (Profilometer), Other inspection tools as required
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, finishes, and material requirements against specifications
- Document inspection results accurately in inspection reports, check sheets, and quality records
- Identify nonconforming materials or products and initiate proper containment procedures
- Communicate quality issues to supervisors, machinists, programmers, and engineering staff
- Assist with root cause investigation and corrective action activities
- Support calibration tracking of measuring instruments as assigned
- Review incoming materials for conformance when required
- Maintain organized quality documentation and traceability records
- Participate in internal audits, continuous improvement efforts, and quality meetings
- Assist in maintaining compliance with customer quality requirements and company procedures
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies
- Opportunity to acquire an operator fork trucks license, or other material handling equipment, to remove and return components and/or finished goods from warehouse locations.
