Job Description
The Technical Writer II is responsible for preparing, reviewing, revising, and maintaining technical documents, including software and systems engineering system operations, testing, and user documentation. The role requires strong writing skills, a solid understanding of technical concepts, and the ability to translate complex information into user-friendly content.
Requirements
- Six (6) years' experience as a TW in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Familiar with the Linux CLI including understanding of terminology used to provide related documentation
- Experience using technical writing tools such as MS Office Tool Suite, MadCap Flare, and Adobe FrameMaker
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience implementing complex documentation practices within a software development environment
- Experience using Markup languages including HTML, XML, and Markdown
- Experience creating technical documentation for a wide audience
- Experience using the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
- Experience with Git Source Control System
