The Maintenance Manager reports directly to the Executive Director and is responsible for maintaining both the interior and exterior of the building, including the grounds, ensuring they are in exceptional condition and appearance.
Requirements
- Repair and oversee the maintenance of equipment and building facilities
- Maintain grounds, including exterior building repairs, lawn care, and snow removal coordination with vendors
- Maintain and clean all areas inside the building, including offices and common areas
- Oversee the housekeeping department, including ordering supplies and filling in as needed
- Prepare and refurbish apartments for resident move-ins
- Train staff on day-to-day operations, emergency procedures, and maintenance protocols
- Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, emergency procedures, and environmental concerns
- Inspect resident apartments for potential issues or hazards
- Schedule and/or perform preventative maintenance and maintain quality assurance records
- Transport residents in company vehicles and drive to local suppliers to purchase maintenance-related materials
- Respond to emergencies outside of normal working hours as necessary
