Activities Assistant AL

Assists in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs for patients, as directed by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• Conducts assessments and gathers information to develop individualized recreation programs
• Updates resident recreation programs as needed to accommodate individual needs and preferences
• Works cooperatively with interdisciplinary team to develop, implement and evaluate plan of care
• Schedules recreational activities to accommodate residents' hours and interests
• Provides activities to residents confined to their rooms
• Develops and implements effective procedures to ensure resident participation and transportation
• Records progress notes and audits chart entries
• Performs quality assessment and assurance functions
• Develops and updates Recreation Services policies and procedures
• Communicates with Nursing Home Administrator on daily basis
