Activities Director HCC

The Activities Director is responsible for designing and implementing recreational programs for residents, managing staff, and allocating resources to ensure the highest practicable physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being of each resident. The position requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as a commitment to providing a high-quality recreational experience for residents.

Requirements

• Minimum two (2) years college education with courses in recreation, education, social work, other behavioral sciences or clinical services
• Two (2) years’ experience in a social or recreational program within the past five years
• One (1) year full-time employment in a resident activities program in a long term health care setting
• Eligible for certification as therapeutic Recreation Specialist or as an Activities professional by a recognized accrediting body
