Requirements
- Collects and reviews maintenance requisitions
- Establishes and conducts scheduled maintenance
- Maintains emergency power systems
- Monitors and repairs essential equipment
- Establishes procedures for emergency situations
- Communicates with residents, families, and staff
- Monitors maintenance staff performance
- Performs quality assurance functions
- Develops and updates maintenance policies and procedures
- Completes required documentation and record keeping
- Collaborates with consultants
- Monitors staff for OSHA compliance
- Participates in department budget development
- Hires and retains qualified maintenance staff
- Participates in long term care survey process
