Requirements
- Creates a culture of excellence and learning among staff
- Coordinates clinical competency assessment and training needs of clinical staff
- Provides relevant education for clinical staff on various topics
- Participates in interview and selection process of clinical staff
- Completes initial competency assessment of clinical staff
- Trains clinical staff as preceptors
- Conducts competency assessments to determine partner learning needs
- Meets with DHS to review learning needs and coordinate training
- Communicates with unit managers regarding new partner orientation and competency status
- Reviews outcomes of case mix and clinical meetings to identify clinical learning needs
- Participates in performance improvement activities
- Maintains documentation of all partner education
- Develops and directs facility orientation program and training for new employees
- Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff
- Monitors practice for effective implementation
- Establishes and implements infection control program
- Conducts infection control surveillance activities
- Provides consultation to departments on application of infection control principles
- Conducts staff training and monitors performance
- Implements workplace safety programs
- Maintains material safety data sheets and exposure control plan
- Coordinates Hepatitis B Vaccination Program
- Maintains confidentiality of employee medical records
