Process Engineer

Prysmian Group's Claremont fiber manufacturing plant is seeking a Process Engineer to support the manufacturing of optical fiber. The successful candidate will evaluate, troubleshoot, and conduct process control and improvement activities on a daily basis and through long-term projects.

Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering (Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, Glass Science, Ceramic, or Metallurgical Engineering) from an ABET accredited institution
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a complex manufacturing process or an internship experience in a complex manufacturing environment
• Ability to understand complex process flow and machinery
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to prioritize tasks to make progress on short term and long term initiatives
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel
• Proficiency PowerPoint
• Detail and quality oriented
• Strong presentation skills
• Demonstrated excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work in high pressure situations
• Ability to improve a situation
• Ability to contribute to the team's culture of continuous process changes and improvements
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Ability to work independently
