Quality Engineer

Prysmian is the world leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industry. As a Quality Engineer, you will develop and maintain effective systems, lead associates to perform quality testing and reporting, and evaluate trends using statistical analysis.

Requirements

• Develop and maintain effective systems to achieve goals and objectives.
• Maintain records to demonstrate compliance with regulatory and industry requirements.
• Evaluate process capability, sampling plans and adjust as needed.
• Communicate quality performance metrics.
• Lead / support associates to effectively perform required testing and reporting of quality data.
• Evaluate trends using statistical analysis and collaborate with other departments in the development of corrective actions.
• Investigate, evaluate, and report returned product from customers.
• Collaborate to identify corrective actions.
• Interact with customer visits (offsite or onsite) as needed.
• Lead plant efforts to maintain quality requirements and certification.
• Identify and lead continuous improvement projects.
• Perform related duties as directed by the Quality Manager.
• Develop / qualify (MSA) inspection, measuring and test equipment as needed.
• Interact with suppliers as needed for audits, certifications and purchased material concerns.
• Lead various activities to support new processes and business.
• Serve as internal auditor for the NA MS.
• Support various interactions with customers (audits, Third Party Inspections, Preproduction reviews, etc.)
