Quality Engineer responsible for ensuring quality, reliability, and validity of processes, procedures, and Quality Management systems for Teledyne's Quality Assurance department.
Requirements
- Quality System Maintenance and support
- Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns
- Assist Quality Manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system
- Lead and Support continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system with tools such as Six Sigma, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
- Support the development of training to build quality awareness
- Interface with Engineering, Procurement, and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new or improved products are in accordance with approved data
- Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system
- Inspect critical devices to ensure product and process compliance
- Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions
- Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints
- Ability to lead Material Review Board (MRB) meetings both internal and program level
- Ability to identity, create, and closeout Corrective Action Reports (CARs) and Preventative Action Reports (PARs) to address non-conformities and opportunities for improvement
- Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, quality plans, etc.
- Continuously improving QA receiving inspection process and procedures
- Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions
- Familiar with MIL-STD, MIL-PRF, IPC, and J-STD for electronic hybrids
- Manage suppliers' performance and conduct audits
- Ability to travel to conduct Supplier quality audits
- Preparation of Certificates of Conformity, QA reports, and Quality presentations
- Support configuration control system
- Work with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking and reporting of data
