Job Description
The Director, Heritage Policy & Research will oversee a team of 20 officers in the Heritage Policy and Research Division, planning and implementing initiatives to grow the heritage sector in Singapore, supporting national identity and pride outcomes. The role involves overseeing policy, promotion, research, and assessment of built heritage, intangible cultural heritage, and archaeology, as well as promoting and safeguarding Singapore's intangible cultural heritage.
Requirements
- Prior experience in industry development or sector development
- Ability to translate high-level policy objectives into operational frameworks
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate policy options, conduct evidence-based research, and synthesise complex information
- Experience managing large-scale policy initiatives and planning programmes
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Experience in sustainable resource management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
