Certified Orthotics Fitter

This position involves hands-on patient clinical care in fitting and applying orthoses. It requires physical assessment, interpretation of prescription requirements, consultation with healthcare professionals, and documentation of care procedures. The role also focuses on managing inventory, coordinating with various departments, and educating the team.

Requirements

• Hands-on patient clinical care (fitting and applying orthoses)
• Physical assessment
• Orthotic requirement assessment
• Verification of prescription / documentation
• Consultation with and/or referral to other health care professionals
• Adjustments to accommodate individual anatomic contours
• Patient education and instruction
• Compliance with practice management plans
• Adherence to applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations
• ICD 10 coding
• Insurance guidelines and verification
• ICD 10 coding
• Manage spinal & cervical brace inventory
• Manage Continuum facility tickets and clinical documentation
• Manage Continuum physical inventory
• Confirm all Spinal Program delivery tickets
• Maintain good working relationships with all team members
• Educate team members with all aspects pertaining to orthotic devices
