Orthotics Coordinator

The Orthotics Coordinator will provide hands-on patient clinical care, including fitting, applying, and adjusting orthoses, and maintaining compliance with regulations. Responsibilities also include patient education, inventory management, and collaboration with various healthcare professionals. This role involves assisting with spinal program administration, physical therapy, and coordinating care with the Acute Inpatient Therapy department.

Requirements

• Hands-on patient clinical care (fitting and applying orthoses)
• Physical assessment
• Orthotic requirement assessment
• Verification of prescription/documentation
• Consultation with and/or referral to other healthcare professionals
• Patient education and instruction
• Compliance with practice management plans
• ICD 10 coding
• Insurance guidelines and verification
• Insurance Prior Authorization submittals
• Inventory management (spinal, cervical, continuum)
• Documentation
• Collaboration with facility and provider teams
