Project Engineer (Prineville OR)

R-2 Contractors is seeking a Project Engineer to work closely with their team in estimating, bidding, negotiating projects, and participating in contract administration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with subcontracts, submittals, and document tracking, as well as proficiency with common office equipment and software.

Requirements

• Experience with HCSS or other bidding software is preferable but not required
• Knowledge of construction and project/operations management
• Degree in Civil or Construction Management is a Plus but not required
• 1-3 years Civil/Construction Project Engineering or related experience
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and document progress
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Punctual, self-starting, and highly organized
• High attention to detail and the ability to adapt to varied responsibilities
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment drug & alcohol screening and background check
