Job Description
R-2 Contractors is seeking a driven and experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent to lead crews and ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. The role requires a leader who takes ownership, builds strong teams, and ensures project success.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator
- 5+ years of experience as a Foreman
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent
- Proven experience managing large cut/fill and earthmoving projects
- Strong knowledge of earthmoving practices and field execution
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment
- Proven experience with GPS machine control systems
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
- Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate complex projects
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to escalate issues appropriately
- Team-first mindset with the ability to collaborate and empower others
