Job Description
Chew Excavating Ltd. is seeking an experienced Civil Utilities Foreman to lead field operations in our BC Hydro infrastructure division in the Greater Victoria area. The role involves supervising crews, coordinating daily work activities, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to BC Hydro specifications.
Requirements
- Experience in BC Hydro Utilities and underground utilities installation (earthworks, utilities, roadworks, or excavation)
- 2+ years in a Foreman or lead-hand role
- Strong understanding of local civil construction methods, sequencing, and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, grades, and specifications
- Proven leadership and crew management skills
- Solid communication and problem-solving ability
- Valid driver’s license (Class 5 minimum; Class 1/3 considered an asset)
