Job Description
As a Principal Systems Administrator, you will develop software tools and services in a SaaS/PaaS environment, focusing on building 'on prem' cloud offering with Kubernetes, Docker, and Istio. Expertise in containerized environments is essential, requiring support for software development within a DevOps culture. The role involves establishing a dedicated DevOps team.
Requirements
- Fifteen (15) years' experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
- Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
- Five years of experience performing Unix System Administration
- Five years of experience writing scripts using Bash/Python
- Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as Puppet, SaltStack, and Ansible
- Demonstrated experience with the sustainment and support of large Unix Clusters
- Familiar with compliance issues such as STE/STN and PURGE2
- Demonstrated experience using system monitoring tools such as Nagios
