Lead Systems Engineer

The Lead Systems Engineer provides technical leadership for the design, integration, and testing of complex systems, including KVM-based virtualization, system security prototypes, and the F127 Combat System Compute Infrastructure (CI).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, liberal arts, or related field; master’s degree preferred
• Must have the applicable 8570 / 8140 requirements including certification for IAT Level III
• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required
• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, with leadership experience in defense or high-security environments
• Expertise in system architecture, design, and integration
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies, system security, and combat system infrastructure
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a logical approach to complex challenges
• Proficiency in systems engineering tools and methodologies (e.g., DOORS, Cameo, MATLAB)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams
• Background in hardware systems, software development, or security is highly desirable
• Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and manage competing priorities effectively
