Job Description
Redwood Materials is looking for a Power Systems Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in classical and modern control theory and experience developing and validating user-defined inverter or plant controller models in PSCAD and/or PSSE.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with specialization in power systems and control systems
- Strong foundation in classical and modern control theory
- Expert proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for control algorithm development and testing
- Experience developing and validating user-defined inverter or plant controller models in PSCAD and/or PSSE
- Hands-on experience with inverter-based resource modeling
- Solid understanding of synchronous machine dynamics and system-level stability concepts
