Job Description
Redwood Materials is seeking a Staff High Voltage Electrical Engineer to join their EPC team, focusing on the design and integration of high-voltage electrical infrastructure for lithium-ion battery applications. The role involves leading the design of AC electrical systems, reviewing and improving existing substations, developing electrical systems and performing grid simulations, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements
- Lead the design of high voltage AC electrical systems.
- Review and evaluate the design of existing substations.
- Develop single-line diagrams, physical layout, and protection systems.
- Perform grid simulation and stability studies.
- Interface with utilities and consultants.
- Develop relay settings and evaluate equipment.
- Lead R&D efforts on medium voltage DC distribution.
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
