Job Description
The MRI Technologist will be responsible for capturing images on MRI scanners to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patient pathologies. They will operate and maintain MRI equipment, modify scanning parameters, and maintain quality control. This role involves close collaboration with Radiologists and utilizing PACS software for patient records. The position also includes intravenous catheter placement and contrast injection.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Applied Science or Bachelor of Science Degree
- Knowledge of various radiologic equipment (Digital Radiography, Computed Tomography)
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and current Texas Medical Board Licensure
- Moderate standing, walking, twisting, reaching, and handling of instruments and equipment
- Ability to wear lead protective devices
